President, Helen Ingersoll, called the meeting to order at 7:05
Amy Brumbach read the NCDCTA Charter.
NCDCTA BOARD TEAM CHARTER:
- We the board of the NCDCTA hold the following values as guiding principles to carry out the mission of our organization.
- To educate, promote camaraderie and recognize achievement in dressage and eventing.
- Respect, Humility, Patience, Self Awareness, Supportiveness, Accountability, Listening, Generosity, and Helpfulness
- Communication that is: Clear, Flexible, Ongoing, Supportive, Constructive and Safe while celebrating brave efforts to question and disagree.
- Decision making that is shared. Roles that can be flexible and board members that are engaged, present, and share appreciation for and with one another, freely.

- Revenue is mostly memberships, show recognition and HOY registrations this month

- Addresses Dressage 4 Kids concerns around student bullying
- Most riders felt deflated and scared - most of which occurred on the ground
- Does not recommend that the organization continues to support D4K (is this accurate Mandi?)
- Competition Report: Todd Erickson
- Plans to present zero based budgeting plan for Harvest Moon and Winter Solstice soon
- Plans to determine Judge options for Harvest Moon and Winter Solstice in the coming weeks
- Will follow up on CHP contact within the next week
- Heather Boyer plans to judge for Harvest Moon
- Plans to touch base with Will Barrus re: show secretary for Harvest Moon

- COMPLETED – SET UP A Combined Training Leadership Team (CTLT) and set our first meeting in late June
- UNDERWAY – “one pager” describing benefits of membership
- NOT YET STARTED - Order Eventing Championship Ribbons from Hodges
- NOT YET STARTED - Begin process for “Organizer Standards” program based on USEA Organizer Committee work

- Plan to cascade social media posts
- Currently no “for sale” posts on NCDCTA FB page

- Helen and Amy to help moderate
- Experimenting with new website, plan to have sample available for next meeting
- Appropriate board members will be responsible for their page content (quarterly)
- Education/Dressage Report: Ali LaTorre
- Working on marketing for the festival. Lectures planned, will have 3 lectures a day
- 8 participants signed up for the L program, plans to catch up with Stacey and Helen this month to make more of a marketing plan
Old Business:
- Motion for NCDCTA to contribute $500 as a sponsor for the Sandhills Western Dressage 1 & 2 Show on August 16–17, 2025 at the Pinehurst Harness Track and sponsor a dedicated high score ribbon for AA/O/JR (total 3 ribbons). Moved by Heather Boyer. Mandi Martyn seconded the motion. The motion carried with all in favour and none opposed.
- Motion to add a HOY track for nationally recognized CTs. Moved by Katherine Thornton. Mandi Martyn seconded the motion. The motion carried with all in favour and none opposed.
