Scholarships and Grants

Junior/Young Rider Scholarship Information

Up to four (4) scholarships will be awarded for each of the following 3 shows:

• Region 1 Youth Dressage Team Challenge
• Harvest Moon Dressage & BLMs
• Autumn Leaves Dressage & NCDCTA Championships

Each scholarship will cover the cost of two (2) or four (4) classes* and one stall. This application, due by the show's opening date, will be evaluated by the scholarship committee and awards will be granted after a thorough assessment, based on quality and merit. Applicants must be active members of NCDCTA.

* Four (4) classes will be covered for Harvest Moon Dressage & Autumn Leaves Dressage. Two (2) classes plus office fee will be covered for the Region 1 Youth Dressage Team Challenge.

Scores from all 3 shows can be self-reported for Horse of the Year. NOTE: The Region 1 Youth Dressage Team Challenge is a schooling show, so will count towards the schooling show track.

DUE DATES: Applications are due on opening date of the show (June 1st for for the Region 1 Youth Dressage Team Challenge).

Terms & Conditions

A large component of this scholarship is giving back. Before the scholarship is released to you, you are asked to write an article for the NCDCTA quarterly newsletter, which may also be highlighted on the NCDCTA website. Your article should be submitted to the Jr/YR chair no later than 7 days after the show (jryr@ncdcta.org), who will review your article and provide timely feedback (if necessary) prior to publication.
