  • NCDCTA Jr/YR Equine Festival Scholarship Winner

    I had an amazing time at this year's NCDCTA Festival! Daniel Stewart's clinic taught me how to laugh at my mistakes and not be embarrassed at them. During the clinic, I had a rough ride when my horse reacted to other horses coming up behind him. Coach Stewart encouraged me to stay calm, smile, breathe, and not freak out when my horse did scary things.

    On the second day, Coach Stewart created a fun game for me and another rider because we weren't able to go cross country safely. I really appreciate that he took the time to work with us even though it didn't go as planned. I had a lot of fun, learned a lot about something new and about me and my horse, Oakley. Thanks to Coach Stewart, I'm able to laugh at my mistakes, and not be embarrassed."
